A fantastic opportunity for a recent Graduate to join a leading company in Christchurch, Dorset. The existing team is looking for a newly qualified graduate to use their skills of analysing vast amounts of data to support with supply chain problem resolutions. This role is offering an exciting opportunity to jump into a career within supply chain with quick progression to be expected.

The position will give responsibility be responsible for providing expertise to a variety of complex procurement analysis that impacts business decisions. Conducts procurement research projects and analyses results with an objective of identifying opportunities to maximize procurement and profitability. It is essential that candidates have previous experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or Procurement Analyst and previous experience within a technical manufacturing environment.

Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Analyst:

Conducts procurement research projects and analyses results with an objective of identifying opportunities to maximize procurement
Performs in-depth analysis of supplier cost data for all major programs and develop negotiation strategies
Reviews sales orders to determine volume procurement opportunities and communicates same to buyer/planners with recommended target pricing and delivery schedules to support production requirements
Performs cost modelling, opportunity analysis, monitoring and reporting of productivity initiatives and budgeted objectives for the specified team(s)
Conducts procurement forecasts and financial reporting for the business unit
Reviews and updates purchase price variance forecasts monthly, while understanding key drivers and risk areas
The primary duties of this job require administrative, non-manual work directly related to business operations involving responsibility for processes and policies of significance, evaluation of possible solutions and results of the work for which the employee is responsible and making recommendations and/or decisions accordingly using professional judgment. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Person Specification of the Supply Chain Analyst:

Experience in a similar role OR Graduate looking to start a career in Supply Chain or Analytics
Manufacturing experience is beneficial
Intermediate Excel skills desirable
Confident in creating presentations showing data in digestible graphs or charts
Able to demonstrate tenacity and influencing skills
Strong attention to detail, highly organised and the ability to prioritise with changing situations
Solves complex problems and exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion
