A leading nationwide manufacturer experiencing excellent growth is seeking to recruit a field based Regional Sales Manager to join their successful team. You will be responsible for developing and organising sales activities in Surrey / Sussex area in order to develop the existing customer base, as well as identifying new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Regional Manager your main responsibilities will include:

•Review customer accounts and build strong relationships with existing customers
•Generate new leads where possible
•Plan and implement sales and development strategies within your region
•Record customer activity using the company’s bespoke system
•Carry out activities relating to branch profitability this includes sales, operations and stock control
•Monitor and review discounts offered
•Prepare quotations
•Liaise with senior management regarding branch customer activities
•Train branch staff in relation to offering a standard of excellence
•Overseeing branch staff targets
•Completing monthly sales reports
•Developing promotional plans
•Maintain a good knowledge of company products

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

•Extensive experience working within a field based business development role
•Commercial awareness
•Good understanding of profit margins, margin improvement and opportunities
•Excellent negotiation skills
•Excellent time management skills
•Experience in the construction industry is essential
•Full UK driving licence is essential
