Cubed Resourcing are working closely with a world leading, international engineering business that currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Manager to ensure the effective negotiation and control of contractual T&C`s across all territories in order to protect the business from commercial risk and comply with the group`s commercial policies.

Our client have a presence in over 70 countries with a number of highly-engineered products which are a key component in numerous industries. This well-established company has seen significant revenue growth with output rising from £31million to circa £130million within the last 6 years.

The Commercial Contracts Manager role will be based from the company`s production site accessible from Hebden Bridge, Huddersfield, Halifax, Oldham, Rochdale and Burnley.

Key responsibilities:

- To ensure performance guarantees and warranties are acceptable and have an effective termination date
- To ensure all bank guarantees bonds are acceptable and have an effective termination date
- Provide Commercial and Legal guidance to other functions within the business
- Draft and review a range of commercial agreements to support new business development activities
- To coordinate the bid review process by liaising with other functions within the business to ensure there is a clear understanding of the scope of supply, accurate estimation of costs, achievable lead times and review of the terms and conditions & technical specifications
- Provide support with customer negotiations throughout Europe and North Africa
- Provide support to the project management team as part of the Contract Acceptance process to ensure that the negotiated contracts are acceptable and are in accordance with the position cleared during bid review
- To manage and enhance the contract review procedure liaising with sales, contracts, engineering and manufacturing departments
- Monitor the profitability of significant contracts from bid approval through to delivery.
- Ownership of the letter of credit process from acceptance of terms through to presentation of accurate and timely documentation

Key requirements:

- Excellent understanding of business contract law with experience in reviewing and negotiating T&C`s for a range of agreements
- Minimum 3 years` relevant experience within industrial engineering/manufacturing sectors
- University level degree/HND in a relevant discipline would be desirable
- Effective communication skills necessary for operating in the international arena for multiple locations (bi-lingual skills would be an advantage)
- Clear understanding of the selling process for technically based capital goods
- Innovative with the ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP
