Are you a Civil or Structural Design Engineer with some practical who would you like to be involved in one of the largest projects within the UK?

Probe Technical recruitment is currently sourcing Intermediate Civil or Structural Design Engineers in Cardiff for an expanding, well known, UK based Engineering Consultancy.

The business currently has 6 offices across the UK and due to expansion and confirmed project work they have now opened another new office in the Midlands.

The company is an employee owned business and each employee has potential to be elected to partner status. The company offers flexible working around core hours (10 to 12 and 2 to 4 being core hours) but other flexible arrangements can be agreed. There is a contributory pension and the company offers training to professional status in appropriate organisations such as Institution of Civil Engineers and Institution of Structural Engineers. The company has a Training Agreement registered with the ICE. The company pays professional membership fees.

DUTIES:

Civil or Structural Engineers with general design experience in roads, drainage and /or foundations is required.

Ideally candidates would have a minimum of 4 to 5 years’ post graduate experience of design and detailing and be prepared to work on large scale infrastructure projects in rail or aviation environments.

This position may suit a developing structural engineer with knowledge of Eurocodes, structural analysis and an interest in roads and drainage design. Candidates who may not have the number of years’ experience required but can demonstrate the necessary skills may apply and will be considered. Progression towards professional qualifications would be expected and supported.

REQUIREMENTS:

A working knowledge of WinDES drainage design and detailing for SFA 6th and 7th Editions and S104 applications together with 3D volumetrics and geometric design software and structural analysis would be ideal but further training is expected
