Part of a major international group, this organisation is a manufacturing facility that produces complex high value components for the automotive industry.

Job Title: Die Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £33,749.04 and £37,499.04.

This role is based on a 3-shift pattern, which adds 22% shift allowance to the basic salary. Overtime is also paid at a competitive rate.

The Role:
Coordinate and provide immediate support in the event of breakdowns and at times hands on.
Proactively work to reduce machine downtime using planned preventative maintenance.
Maintain plant and equipment to meet production and legislative requirements
Ensure compliance to company and legislative working standards inc. isolation, unfenced machinery, COSHH etc.
Ensure all maintenance activities are logged in to the UPUK database once complete with technical feedback
Adhere to stated policies, procedures and work instructions relating to Health, Safety, Environment, HR and Quality systems.
Liaise with stores to identify relevant and correct stock items, ensuring all spare parts etc. are booked out in the correct manner.
Work within 5s methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standard
Dealing with day to day HR issue including, discipline, sickness absence, performance reviews and recruitment etc.

The Person:
As well as the above technical requirements the successful candidate must also poses strong man management skills to ensure the team is motivated and developed in order to optimise performance, they need to work efficiently and accurately, to prioritise workload and be self-motivated, and work on your own initiative and as part of a team. With a clear focus on Safety, Quality and Production, strong communication skill are an essential at all levels including internal departments and external suppliers
