Project Audio Visual are currently looking to recruit an Audio Visual Installation Engineer to join our very successful and busy company. The ideal candidate will possess a decent background and experience in full integration of audio visual systems.

We will consider applicants of various levels including experience in the following:

•Crestron and other control systems

•Video Conferencing systems

•Display equipment

•Media Walls including video wall and/or LED

•Audio Equipment

•1st fix cabling

•Rack building

•General audio visual systems

Essential Qualifications to include:
•Good underpinning technical knowledge of Electronics and Audio Visual Systems
•Ability to plan and organise work
•Ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential
•Competent to a high level of computer literacy
•Able to work as part of a team
•Ability to think laterally finding an appropriate solution to fulfil an application
•Good communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
•Ability to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail ensuring that you complete work thoroughly
•Experience in dressing and soldering cables
•Flexible approach to working hours
•The willingness to work evenings and weekends
•Full/Clean UK Driving Licence

CSCS/ECS & PASMA are desirable but not essential as we will put you through these if necessary.

Duties Involved:
•Installation of equipment including but not limited to projectors, displays, audio equipment, control systems, interactive equipment, racks etc.
•Liaising with Project Managers/Seniors to ensure successful completion of works
•Management of your task allocation, time frames and workflow
•Carry out and complete all works to high quality and in a competent manner and with the customer establishment being left in a clean and tidy condition
•Contribute to the achievement of project targets
•Provide the highest level of customer service
•To work together with the team to resolve technical issues
•Liaising with other internal departments, clients and contractors
•Testing, fault finding and maintenance of AV systems
•To utilise all equipment correctly, as directed by senior staff and in accordance with manufacture guidelines
•Understand and interpret the audio visual schematics and drawings/documentation
•Provide daily updates to the Project Manager or Operations Manager verbally or via email where required
•Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including job packs and job sign offs and the maintaining of accurate records of the onsite installation
•Ensure photographic evidence of install is taken and download on completion of jobs
•Attend site coordination meetings
•To attend meetings, training sessions, health and awareness training and meetings
•To act at all times in accordance with the Company’s rules, policies and procedures including the Company’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
•Responsibility for Company Equipment including; personal issue items, shared plant items, Company vehicles and ‘hired in’ equipment
•To wear Company attire including; staff uniform and all appropriate PPE
•Other ad hoc duties as may be required appropriate to the post

Job Location:

•Engineer will ideally be living close to Project Audio Visual’s headquarters in or around the Reading/Berkshire area.

•Key locations for projects will be around the Thames Valley, London, South East areas although we do often complete projects all over the UK and within Europe

Salary/Benefits Package:

•The basic salary will be between £23000 - £28000 but is negotiable dependent upon experience + Overtime
