The Product Specialist is the link between the Commercial department, Vendors and Sales. The purpose of the role is to drive sales activity and boost GP by coordinating promotions, call out days and demos for the Business Unit, and to drive the performance of Toshiba as a brand across all relevant sales floors.

Key Responsibilities

* Own, drive & execute the Toshiba BTB strategy across all relevant sales floors
* Establish, develop and maintain relationship with Toshiba at all levels, Including daily engagement with the key contacts within the Toshiba team
* Owning and building relationships with top Toshiba accounts
* Arrange and attend structured monthly business review and implement actions to drive increased sales
* Education and training of internal sales teams to ensure they are up to date on current market trends, promotional activity and new technologies
* Plan, prioritise and coordinate call out days and promotions to drive sales floor activity in conjunction with the BM and sales managers
* Manage and lead call out days and promotions by providing a presence, a focus and regular feedback to sales teams on activity against targets
* Co-ordinate on-going vendor training to meet the needs of the sales teams and new starters
* Ensuring all internal sales tools including CSS are updated on a regular basis and are fit for purpose
* Supporting the BM by highlighting aged stock opportunities
* Demonstrate expert product knowledge and keep up to date with new technologies and developments in the market
* Understanding & awareness of trends and market changes and how they may impact our business
* Building strong relationships with stakeholders in Sales, Commercial and Purchasing to ensure that communications and relations between the departments are effective
* Use internal systems such as Qlikview & Oracle to track performance and challenge sales where appropriate
* Manage bid request process and feedback to BM/ Sales
* First point of escalation to all product related queries, with the ability to delegate ownership to other internal teams

Essential Requirements:

* Confident & outgoing personality
* A proven track record of building relationships as an account manager in sales or in a similar role
* Proven experience of achievement in a target driven environment

* The ability to recognise and focus on the key issues and strategy as highlighted by BM
* An interest in Computing products

* Organisation skills - able to plan and prioritise own time and be self-motivated
* Ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders, individuals and groups, at all levels
* Willingness to travel occasionally to all Exertis locations to facilitate learning and development interventions as required
