Our client is currently recruiting for an AutoCAD Designer, with glazing experience

Specific Duties:

- Assist Sales / Estimating departments by locating, or generating, if necessary details for projects in the sales or estimating departments
- Attend Design Handover Meetings from the estimating department, and agree / compile a design brief for the project.
- Identify key interfaces with adjacent structures or finishing trades. Provide coordinated solutions to key interfaces.
- Prepare requests for Information / Query sheets as required, and monitor replies.
- Produce Drawing Schedules, General Arrangement and Working drawings for Design team approval. Provide 2D and 3D design information as required.
- Ensure delivery of all information to design team, and approval thereof, in accordance with project programme requirements.
- Design Review - revise and re-issue commented drawings.
- Initiate internal design review meetings between design and contracts staff to ensure designs are suitable for execution, both in terms of construction methodology and commercial sustainability.
- Attend Design Meetings as required throughout the design process.
- Produce Fabrication information in the form of schedules, cutting lists or component drawings, as required, to an agreed program.
- Undertake checking responsibilities for fabrication information generated by other Design Technicians.
- Visit Sites as necessary to ascertain conditions, carrying out basic surveying if required.
- Checking all elements to a project, including, Drawing Schedules, General Arrangement Drawings, Working Drawings and Fabrication information.
- Be aware of current client`s project workload and project timings, Maintain progress as program, Overtime may be required to achieve this objective.
- Assist Contract/Project Managers with the production of accurate, realistic design programs for current or forthcoming projects.
- Provide Design and Technical Support for all other departments as required.
- Report project progress on a weekly basis.
- Any other duties as required.

You must have at least 3 years directly related experience.

AutoCAD, Revit and Solid Works experience a plus
