Graduate Product Development Engineer

Exciting opportunity with an innovative company that specialise in fume extraction systems with the aim of improving product quality, reducing process costs and protecting the health of personnel and the environment as a Graduate Product Development Engineer.

Duties will include:


Develop new products from conception into pre-production, ensuring all products meet customer expectation and the regulatory standards for all the markets.

Develop partnerships with knowledge based Organisations and suppliers

Review and improve the development procedures from concept to production.

Develop test procedures and schedules.


Design new products in accordance with the company's ISO 9001 Design procedure

Produce preliminary design drawing and bills of materials.

Work with customers to establish design criteria

Use solid works and design 3D modelling

Use CREO package and Assembler software


Provide problem solving assistance to Production when required on demand

Create and develop procedures for production, including production training.

To be responsible for ALL electrical design and electrical issues either in development or legacy products, including changes.


Attend seminars and forums on new trends in Fume Extraction and Air Movement

Possess a general understanding of competitor's equipment to best transfer applications for the company's equipment

Manage supplier and other development technicians during the production of prototype

especially designed individual components.

Carry out any other duties requested by the Engineering Manager to support the business.

Br able to look at processes and use continuous Improvement methods to make things more efficient and cost effective.

Will be expected to travel with work across Europe.
