We are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Co-ordinator for our Walsall based client.

This position is a permanent role.

Areas of responsibility:

Health & Safety advice for 2 sites

Organise general risk assessments & reviews

Safe Systems of work

Organise Coshh reviews

Organise asbestos surveys & register

Ensure ladder safety checks are being conducted

Organise 14 monthly thorough examination

Accident/incident investigation

Ensure operating system is followed i.e. Contractor Questionnaire and Permits to Work

Write job specific risk assessments and method statements for 'out of the ordinary' activities

H&S Audits

Report to HSE, under RIDDOR, 7 day injury accidents sustained by Employees

Dealing with HSE field inspectors, during specific or routine surveillance visits

Organising three yearly cycle of Hearing Testing

Ensure refresher training is undertaken by Operatives such as Flt Drivers, Tool Setter, Crane Operators, Bamksmen, MEWP operators, CPC for Lorry Drivers

Organising servicing and safety checks of bailer & Compactor

Organise safety checks for Crane

Organise LEV monitoring in accordance with Legal requirements

Ensure six monthly thorough examination of Flt's is completed

Organise annual check of air quality sampling in welding locations

Organise twelve monthly audits of Fire Alarm System

Organise six monthly inspection of loose lifting tackle

Some equipment hire responsibilities eg MEWP

This roles offers career progression and will lead to environment and HR duties and responsibilities.

Salary depending on experience

Hours of work 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
