Senior IT Technical Trainer duties & responsibilities:

* To ensure that IT Programme content is regularly reviewed and updated. Ensuring the curriculum is developed to provide learners with access to the skills necessary to support their achievement, including access to Functional Skills
* To provide effective support to Technical and Junior Technical Trainers
* To manage resources in collaboration with the Curriculum Lead, including the deployment of resources required for effective and innovative curriculum delivery
* To ensure that success rates on courses are maintained above national benchmarks and that there is continuous improvement in success rates
* To support the development of new approaches to teaching and learning in line with national developments and the needs of learners
* To provide professional and high quality training as part of the IT Apprenticeship framework and standards
* Responsible for the delivery of the programme to the agreed schedule and standards
* To manage all uploaded leaner work within the agreed timeframes and ensure learner file naming conventions and storage processes are followed
* To maintain accurate documentation i.e. assessment and marking records
* To undertake all aspects of the post in accordance with the companies Equal Opportunities policy
* To comply with the companies Data Protection policy in relation to collection, use, storage and disposal of personal or sensitive data
* To maintain and update own knowledge, skills and occupational competence as required by the awarding body
* Marking and assessment of assignments/learner work
* Be able to deliver Level 4 courses; Be able to deliver two or more vendor courses (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, Cisco)
* Achieve consistently "Outstanding" observation grades; Achieve the benchmark of 8.2 learner feedback scores
* Deliver to class sizes of up to 14 delegates

Senior IT Technical Trainer Applicants:

* A proven track record of relevant experience of delivering technical training; Sound Technical Knowledge with an ability to facilitate learning
* Hold and be willing to work towards relevant vendor qualifications such as Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, MCSE), CompTIA (A+, Network +, Server +) Cisco (CCNA, CCNP)
* Proven credentials in a driven environment with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
* Appropriate academic or professional IT qualifications - Essential
* A teaching and/or assessors qualification
* Experience of delivering apprenticeship frameworks and/or standards
* Experience of effective performance improvement and quality assurance in delivering apprenticeships
* A sound understanding of the relevant qualifications frameworks and of a range of appropriate curriculum delivery methods
* Willingness to work variable hours when necessary to meet the requirements of the post

Candidates must hold a Full UK Licence as extensive travel maybe involved in the role.
