Maintenance Electrician required to take up permanent position in September 2017, working (Mon - Fri) covering response and planned maintenance works across MoD sites to include RAF Wyton, RAF Henlow and Bassingbourn Barracks.

Responsibilities:

* You will understand and take responsibility for the successful day-to-day repairs & maintenance services based on site or at another reasonable location.
* You will work proactively and responsibly in conjunction with the management team.
* You will demonstrate a "can do" attitude, with a desire to achieve company performance targets and deadlines.
* You will be a valuable team player and possess excellent customer skills, forward thinking and professional.
* You will need to possess excellent communication skills.
* You will need to be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent planning and problem solving skills.

Key Tasks:

* To have adequate technical knowledge so as to be able to work on their own and carry out electrical installation work without detailed supervision in the most efficient & economical manner and in accordance with the relevant legislation.
* Clear understanding of contract requirements & instructions from client and line manager for each job pack to achieve satisfactory completion.
* To accurately complete all site records & forms, e.g. Test sheets, job packs, risk assessments etc.
* To carry out co-ordination with others on site, to ensure works are completed within timescales set.
* To ensure work activities are carried out safely and to high quality.
* To diagnose & rectify faults in good time.
* To meet deadlines (response times) for planned and reactive maintenance works.
* Recognise and communicate with the client and line manager by recording any change or workplace event that may delay or disrupt the job in which the works are to be carried out.
* To identify procure & progress material requisitions & (follow up deliveries where delegated).
* To be a dependable & important member of the site team and additional works team.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential -

* City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 Electrical or equivalent
* City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.

Desirable -

* City & Guilds 2382 17th IEE Regulations
* City & Guilds 2394 Inspection & Testing.
* Asbestos Awareness
* PASMA
* First Aid - appointed person
* MEWP - 1a, 1b, 3a, 3b.

Applicants will hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to undergo full MoD security checks
