B2B Sales Executive - Events & Marketing
£17,000 - £21,000 + uncapped commission

Our client is an experiential marketing and events company, based in Cardiff but providing services throughout the UK. They create engagement opportunities that connect our clients’ brands with their target audiences, often in the form of sampling roadshows, PR stunts, and any other face-to-face marketing activity. They also have an in-house promotional and event staffing agency through which we recruit candidates to work on their clients’ campaigns and events.

The Role
They require a sales executive to contribute to the growth of the agency by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through which to sell the agency’s packages and wider services, both over the phone and face to face.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively identifying opportunities for new business
  • Conducting quality sales activity via email, over the phone and face to face
  • Building relationships with prospects from both warm and cold leads
  • Converting prospects into customers in line with monthly sales targets
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell packages and services
  • Contributing to the agency sales strategy and its implementation
  • Providing weekly reports on sales/new business activity
  • Working closely with the client services team to onboard new customers

The Candidate
To be considered for the B2B Sales Executive position, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Have a background in B2B sales and lead generation with a proven track record
  • Experience in marketing services and/or event sales would be beneficial
  • Possess excellent telephone sales skills
  • Ideally have face to face sales experience, or the desire to develop this
  • Build relationships quickly, demonstrating a friendly and approachable attitude
  • Be professional, self-motivated and driven to exceed targets
  • Be comfortable taking ownership and control of their workload and sales pipeline
  • Demonstrate effective time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
