Support Worker - Bath, Somerset
We are looking for proactive, passionate and sociable support workers to join our friendly team in a beautiful city of Bath!
We are currently supporting 7 individuals with a learning disability, who share a stunning town house in central Bath. They are a very busy bunch of people who enjoy an active social life, community clubs, cinemas, theatres and sports! They have strong community links and many friends. As a support worker you need to be very proactive, flexible and resourceful to be able to keep up with them!
Naturally their interests are very diverse, with some enjoying music, other baking and sharing their results with house mates, while others enjoy walks in the beautiful local parks.
When at home, they like to be involved in the upkeep of their house and garden as well as household chores, such as cooking, cleaning, washing. In their free time, they enjoy games, TV, parties, visiting local cafes and pubs and of course, a good conversation!
Support levels vary from helping some with personal care, cooking to assisting some with their employment (both paid and voluntary) and accompanying to social events.
We also support people in the community in the area who either live in their own home or shared accommodation, which involves supporting them with daily living skills, shopping, cooking, banking, accompanying to appointments, community centres and sports.
If you would like to help support these outgoing, sociable people, who have a wonderfully full and active life, please apply and tell us why you would be a fantastic match. We include the people that you will support in our selection process so you will have a chance to meet them and introduce yourself during or after your interview.
Full and part-time roles available.
