Prince’s Trust Team Leader Opportunities ASKH51238
Opportunities across York, Harrogate and Grimsby
Salary: £21,061 - £25,717 depending on experience and qualifications

Our Client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.

They now have opportunities available across York, Harrogate and Grimsby. Within the role you will be required to travel across the region, more of which will be discussed at interview. These positions are on a fixed term basis until 31st July 2018.

As well as lecturing / assessing for 3 consecutive Prince’s Trust Team Programmes, these roles are an essential link in the relationship between the College and the Prince’s Trust.

You will essentially act as Team Leader and Course Manager to allocated groups of learners, supporting them in both an academic and personal development function. The support will also continue onto the teaching team, where you will provide a link for pastoral care and be responsible for the whole programme from start to finish.

You’ll also be recruiting students for the Team programme, liaising with referral and support agencies to ensure a smooth transition of students throughout the programme. You will also participate in training and development courses, research, secondment and personal contact in order to keep up to date in technical and education expertise as well as those skills necessary to effectively tutor and assess clients.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and with at least a PTTLS level teaching qualification, the successful candidates will need solid experience of personal and social development of young people who face multiple barriers (such as behavioural problems, NEETs, mental health issues, homelessness, history of drug abuse etc). Working knowledge of the Prince’s Trust, multi-agency working and managing/assessing the FE provision at Foundation Level learning are essential qualities.

Our Client ultimately needs individuals who can work well in stressful and demanding circumstances, can quickly gain the respect of and form positive working relationships with young people and have the constant drive to do well and truly make a different.

Please state within your supporting statement which location you would prefer to be based from: York, Harrogate or Grimsby

Closing date for applications: Friday 28th July 2017
Interview date: 2nd / 3rd August 2017
