Alexander Daniels are exclusively working with a dynamic and vibrant SME based in Banbury to recruit a Financial Controller. Tasked with assessing current processes and introducing a rigid structure to support the business through a period of extreme growth, the successful candidate will be paid up to £55K. The business has doubled in turnover in the last 4 years and their 5 year plan is to reach £50m.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will support the management team through detailed analysis and provide recommendations on future business decisions. You will be responsible for the core financial operations and management of the finance team. There are 4 subsidiaries with a combined turnover of £15m so you will be consolidating the reporting for the whole group, incorporating regulatory compliance in the UK, EU and the US.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading FP&A activities including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-range planning
* Building and updating cash-flow forecasts for short and medium-term coverage across multiple currencies and income flows
* Developing and overseeing month-end routines
* Ensuring efficient cash collection in all markets to minimise working capital
* Ensuring accurate, consistent and relevant data flow around the business
* Preparing and developing sales reports, feeding into stock projections and forecasts
* Leading cost rationalisation initiatives
* Calculating intercompany recharges, managing transfer pricing and intercompany balances
* Liaising with external Accountants, Auditors and other advisers
* Ensuring tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax and foreign taxes
* Generally developing stronger accounting systems, policies, processes and controls

You will be a progressive accountant, qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA and have experience of managing a small team. You will have the ability to manage up as well as down and be able to engage on all levels in a sensitive manner
