Overall Purpose

To work part of the performance management team and assist with any queries or projects. This will be an office based role and travel will be required to other offices, In this role it would involve working with members of the IT team, client representatives, high level steering group, external software supplies, internal delivery teams and other work stream team members.

Key Tasks / Activities/ Responsibilities

Work as part of the Digital Transformation team to undertake service design/re-design to identify and analyse opportunities for service improvement

Support or lead service review workshops with service representatives, promoting the aims and design principles of the transformation programme

Adhere to the programme design principles in all process re-design activity

Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all technical and functional requirements are captured in sufficient detail

Ensure the accurate creation and review of documentation for re-designed processes that supports the rapid delivery of the core software system functionality, interfaces and associated technology; using tools such as workflow diagrams, case studies and user stories

Ensure the collection and/or creation of supporting materials for each business process, such as process stage procedures, customer service scripting and training documentation ensuring consistency and alignment to the business gold standard

Support business users to identify and create solutions to any issues caused by process re-design that fall outside the core technology build aligned with the principles of operational efficiency

Ensure a consistent approach to the customer journey across processes
Support end user testing and acceptance to ensure that re-designed processes and associated technology are fit for purpose and signed off for the live environment

Plan and undertake any other specified projects, as required, in support of the overall programme or business strategy

Person Specification

Key Knowledge

Understanding of Microsoft Sure Step methodologies and approaches (Desirable)

Understanding of business engagement to support the introduction of new technology and process
Key Skills

Research and analysis skills drawn from a range of qualitative and quantitative data sources

Ability to produce business requirement documentation including workflow diagrams, case studies and user stories (Desirable)

Relevant numerical skills, to collate and analyse business metrics
Ability to convey complex issues and information clearly and are easy to understand

Motivate, encourage and support peers and project team members
Project management skills (planning, organising and monitoring etc.) (Desirable)

Negotiation and influencing skills

Work to deadlines and have an organised approach to workload
Facilitation of workshops and conduct of semi structures interviews (Desirable)

Working with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of an organisation (Desirable)

Key Experience

Experience of applying technology solutions to improve business process (Desirable)

Experience of facilitating workshops of business users and dealing with challenge (Desirable)

Experience of supporting staff through cultural change as part of an implementation of business change or new ways of working (Desirable)

Experience of business process review/analysis and business case development (Desirable)
Experience of leading an implementation work stream within a programme of projects (Desirable)

Other Key Information

Educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and aptitude

Business Analysis qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and aptitude (Desirable)

Work successfully as part of a team and able to work towards the overall business objectives
