Location - Midlands commutable from Birmingham, Warwick, Coventry, Stratford upon Avon

£29,301 - £38,183 - + Pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus Christmas closure

36.5 hours (Mon-Fri)

Are you an experienced Engineer with a background in process engineering or machine modification? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity within Europe's leading battery research facility?
This is a post within a rapidly expanding and world renowned Research and development department at a leading University. Due to continued growth my client is looking for a Project Engineer with experience of modifying or building machines for recycling/disposal.
The project will be focussed on the creation of new machinery or modification of existing "bench top" recycling unit for lithium ion batteries. Assessing chemical and physical process for materials reclamation and developing different methods for lithium battery disassembly.
The successful candidate will be from a background in designing and building equipment for chemical and mechanical processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for any Project Engineer to join a renowned research and development centre that offers the chance to work on prestigious and exciting projects. It could even lead to a permanent position.
The role:
*Working within a research and development department in a leading university
*Active involvement with at a hands on level in the engineering and design of a bench top recycling unit for batteries
*Developing different methods for battery disassembly

The Candidate:
*Project experience of designing and building equipment for chemical or mechanical processes
*Competent in project reporting procedure and methods
*Honours degree or vocational qualification equivalent in mechanical or chemical engineering or relevant industry experience
