Due to recent expansion in the utilities division; our client is currently looking to strengthen the back office Operations Management team.

Key Essentials:

* Reporting to the General Manager; your role will involve taking control of specific 'hot topics’ utility projects advised by the client. You will be required to understand the issues and confirm action points / back to clients through to project completion

* Working with the process and systems team to design, test and implement system improvements and changes

* Assisting in the management of a team of 30+ staff whilst helping to drive continuous improvement in back office processes

* Assist and support operational depots with work scheduling, resource management, analysing work stacks, trending reports and forecasting

* Provide high quality daily reports / data to clients and the internal management team

* Track dashboards / performance at a granular level by product

* Regularly attending conference calls with management and the client - producing accurate information to share and report on the contract performance

* Working to contract KPI’s and other tight deadlines including street works

* Regularly attend and participate in meetings with suppliers, clients and management

* Communicating effectively with offshore delivery partners

* The role will entail deputising for the General Manager as required and assisting with any HR issues

Requirements:

* It is essential that you come from a Utilities background with a good knowledge of streetworks

* You should ideally be qualified with Lean / Six Sigma (or equivalent) and have excellent I.T skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint

* You should be confident in presenting at a senior level with previous managerial experience of at least 10 people

* You should hold experience of fast paced, high volume workloads with an understanding of health and safety practices required for excavation in the highway
