Our client a Domiciliary Care organisation are looking for an Assistant Care Manager to join their team. This is a full time, permanent job opportunity.

Please find a summary of the role below:

Work alongside fellow AM (Care) and with the Registered Manager, oversee and deliver all aspects of the Client Services function. You will be responsible (or share responsibility) for the following:

• Care Team Management
o Manage 50+ care staff within their role and report findings accurately to Registered
Manager and/or HR
o Undertake quality checks of staff and audits relevant to role
o Evaluate and allocate workload for Duty care staff
o Liaise with Roster and HR departments to maintain optimum staff levels

• Care Delivery
o Promote consistently high quality delivery of regulated services, exceeding CQC
expectations of a Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive and Well-Led service
o New client assessment and take-on
o Care planning and reviews
o Manage medication reviews and administration
o Work with Administration team to ensure all service documentation is up-to-date,
accurate and audited
o Liaison with other professionals in the health and social care services in the area
o Work together with Roster and HR teams to enable successful Care Delivery
o Be prepared to cover rostered visits in exceptional circumstances

• Staff Training
o Take part in the training and development of the care team to enhance professional standards
o Suggest ideas for training content
o Work with HR to schedule induction, mandatory and development training sessions

• Compliance
o Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, (e.g. CQC, H&SE)
o Ensure adherence to companies policies and procedures

• Joint Management Role
o Work collaboratively with other members of the Management Team towards shared management goals and objectives
o Liaise with/escalate to the Board as appropriate

• Business Development
o Drive growth and development towards strategic objectives

You will need to have:
A minimum of 3 years experience at Senior level within a Healthcare organisation
Proven experience of managing remote workers preferable
Ability to work within an office environment alongside remote workers in the local community
Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Excellent organisation skills
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
The ability to work quickly and accurately, using an organised methodical approach
Must hold a full current driving licence and have access to a car for work
