My client in Central Birmingham is recruiting for an Interim Finance Manager due to a recent internal promotion. They are a not for profit organisation and are growing from strength to strength. This is an 8-12 month contract with the potential to go perm when the contract is due to come to an end.

Finance Manager Job Duties:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions

  • Oversee financial reporting as well as the monthly management accounts.

  • Responsibility for tax preparation, assisting with the auditors, banking, and other financial needs as necessary

  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports

  • Present financial reports to the senior management team

  • Assist in the introduction of the new nominal ledger

  • Support and continual improvement of processes following implementation of the new ledger ensuring good customer service during the period of transition

  • Help train users of the new accounting system

  • Ensure bank reconciliations and other key controls are properly and promptly performed

  • Ensure that all suppliers are paid in accordance with their terms

  • Ensure that there is sufficient money in the bank accounts at all times by performing regular cash flows

  • Provide monthly accounting and statistical information to the Group Finance Director

  • Help develop financial reporting using the new system

  • Assist in the production of the year-end accounts and the Group accounts, developing new consolidation processes

  • Assist in the production of the Solvency II calculations and returns

Finance Manager Skills and Qualifications:


Ability to effectively communicate with senior members of the finance team

Experience of partnering with individuals outside of the finance team
