Marketing Assistant / Executive

IMMEDIATE START AND INTERVIEWS

£20K - £30K based on exp

Our client based in Guildford is seeking an experienced Marketing Professional, either at Assistant or Executive level.

You will provide support for BD and Marketing (BD&M) activities, with an emphasis on organising events. To assist with the creation, planning, management and delivery of both client and internal events to deliver imaginative cost-effective event solutions and to ensure appropriate follow-up is undertaken post-event. The role will also give the successful candidate good exposure to all elements of BD and marketing (branding, PR, comms, digital, pitching, business planning and targeting), as they will provide support to the team on broader projects and initiatives.

Skills and competencies

· Exceptional attention to detail and exemplary planning and organising skills.

· Good written and verbal skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines while remaining calm.

· Willingness to work overtime on events when required.

· Ability to use own initiative and to make considered decisions with the support and guidance of your line manager.

· Creativity, innovation and resilience.

· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills - someone who enjoys building relationships and is comfortable with dealing with people across a range of seniorities; this role will be partner and client-facing.

Experience

· 1 year + of relevant experience would be an advantage but a general passion for this area could be enough

· Experience using InDesign, Mail Chimp, social media and working within a Content Management System (CMS) is advantageous.

· An understanding and experience of working with third party suppliers would be preferred.

· An active team player with a flexible approach to working but able to operate independently also.

· Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· A good sense of humour and is fun to work with.
