The Company:

A leading construction, refurbishment and fit out contractor who operate mainly across London and South East carrying out high quality projects from a £300k to £8 million. Working within both the public & private sectors carrying out a range of projects with a portfolio of significant heritage/conservation works, education projects, commercial fit outs, new build and private residential refurbishment/development.

The Team:

The team have completed some outstanding projects to date and aspire to do the same going forward by delivering on what is set out for the client which is shown by the repeat business from their existing client base. There is a huge element of being proud of achieving this quality for the client and from the feedback they receive time and time again.

The Opportunity:

Currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the existing team of passionate and dedicated managers with a diverse range of project experience you will be able to demonstrate the following attributes.

* An established manager with a wealth of knowledge through the main contracting market.
* Experience of running your own schemes up to £8 million or working on larger projects as part of a team working under a Project Manager.
* Prior project knowledge of working with large clients in the heritage and education sectors.
* Passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a good and healthy team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the provision of a safe, efficient and cost effective service stream on all areas of service delivery ensuring the highest quality of work is provided in the timescales determined by the contract.
* Develop site specific plans with Senior Management and continually review, implement, monitor and enforce procedures.
* Review method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company and client procedures as well as discharge Health and Safety responsibilities in accordance with Safety, Health and Environment Management System requirements
* Arrange and chair pre-start meetings with subcontractors and attend hand over meeting with pre-construction team.
* Instigate, control and run projects from contract award to handover within budgetary constraints.
* Manage designated projects to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence.
* Understand the site's financial position at all times through liaison within internal department and external consultants.
* Maintain accurate site diaries for all activities and highlight any risk items.
* Be aware of the production through on-going analysis & mitigation of project risks.
* Produce short term programmes inline with lead programme identifying risk and potential delays.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Holds the relevant CITB and First Aid qualifications (NVQ level 3 or above is desirable).
* Circa 5 years+ experience with relevant and recent industry experience in similar role.
* Ability to take ownership and solve problems and implement actions
* Commitment to customer needs and objectives.
