Kennet Solutions are urgently looking for a Quantity Surveyor with 3-5 years’ experience. Our client is involved in a number of new build Commercial and Residential projects up to the value of £25 million.
Our client is a leading multi-disciplined Civil Engineering and Building contractor with a turnover in excess of £500million. They have recently been successful with a number of tenders in the South-West on major projects.
The majority of their activities are within groundworks and can include including excavation, propping works, RC frame works, structural steel frame’s etc.

The Successful Quantity candidate will:
• Liaise with all external and internal stakeholders to enable the projects to progress without delay, ensuring that all reasonable requests are met in a timely, efficient manner
• Ensure the projects are managed in accordance with the contract, and meet the required reporting deadlines Cost Management, Reporting and Supporting
• Interface with the business to deliver professional and competent advice and support, to ensure that the projects are managed in accordance with the contract, and meet the required reporting deadlines.
• Prepare monthly reports and valuations
• Ensure variations are submitted in accordance with the contract
• Oversee Sub-Contract and Special Supplies procurement and administration/payments
• Prepare Subcontract orders for sign off by the Senior QS / Commercial Manager
• Interrogate costs and report on variance from construction budget and advise operations system on how impact can be mitigated
