Job summary

To carry out surveys, prepare quotations in line with the specification requirements of our Key Account Clients. Assist in the audit process of the customer base and to carry out survey requests for other parts of the business as and when
required.

KPI’s
Achieve quote turnaround of three days or less.
Design of specification to meet customer requirements to achieve company budgeted margins.
Variance between the sold margin and installed margin on jobs is not greater than 2%.
To achieve agreed number of audits as set by the company from time to time

Typical decisions
Identification of extra works opportunities and sales lead generation.
Formulation of correct solutions in conjunction with Design teams.

Scope
Understanding of the Key Account customers within owned and defined territory.
Key contacts include: internal – each of the Key Accounts Managers and an understanding of
their areas of responsibility, Operations Manager and Surveyor Team Leader.
Design systems, that are commercially effective and meet the customer’s specification

Responsibilities
Carry out surveys in line with customer requirements; including drawings and layout of fire
and intruder protection systems.
Formulation of job pricing in conjunction with the Key Account Manager.
Design cost effective solutions that meets the customer specification and expectations
Gain competitive sub-contracting quotations as required.
Make recommendations for extra works identified through surveys and audits, these may
include other product offerings or services supplied.
Will own and compile job packs in line with quality procedures.
Ensure full compliance to fire and security standards, as well as implement all Health and
Safety requirements of both the Customer and that of the client.
Develop networks and resources as and when necessary.

Experience
Previous technical or technical sales experience.
Multi-disciplined on security systems to include; Fire Alarms, access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and EAS.
Systems configuration experience.
Some experience of care communications.
Knowledge of electrical industry, preferably with an electrical background.
Design or Systems background.
Specialist skills for Home Office, Police Custody and Prison specifications are advantageous but not essential.

Knowledge
Multi skilled in system design, installation for products.
Conversant on Microsoft Office.
PC Drawing skills – Visio/CAD/Auto sketch.
Aptitude to become conversant in all in house IT packages
