We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager based in London, working nationally on different projects and events.

Our client is the industry leader in the delivery of temporary and permanent installations within the Corporate, Automotive, Retail, Television, Live Events, Exhibition and Hospitality industries amongst others

Qualifications and Experience (Essential)

Experienced user of Microsoft Office Tools
2 years’ experience in Project Management-essential (within the event industry desirable) *
Adept at conducting research into project related issues and products
Proven ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high pressure environment is crucial
Good team-working skills
Confident decision-making ability
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritise
Flexible and adaptable

Qualifications and Experience (Desirable)

Experience of AutoCAD draughting software and other packages (solidworks etc.)
Project Management qualification or training

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with Project Managers to develop and deliver new projects
Liaise with Clients on an ongoing basis
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Assist in the Drafting of budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestone using appropriate tools
Supervise Contractors, Transportation and any logistical aspects of the project
Deputise for the Project Manager as and when necessary
Undertake any other duties within the scope of your knowledge and skills as and when required
Comply with company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental & Quality procedures at all times.
Able to commit the same level of enthusiasm to the more dull and mundane projects as the higher profile projects
Willing to travel both UK and abroad on occasion
Willing to work unsociable hours on occasion

Experience and Technical Knowledge:

Excellent time management, project planning and organisational skills
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Must be able to read and disseminate plans and construction drawings and convey that information to various participants
Adapt to all the varying demands of the client’s design and schedule
Strong team player and able to work under pressure
A desire to join a team who relish a challenge with an adaptive approach to challenges
Good sense of humour
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels effectively
