Harvey Nash have been engaged exclusively by a Wakefield based law firm to source and secure an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join them at an exciting time of transformational change.

The role

The Senior Systems engineer will have a variety of responsibilities, be involved in a wide range of projects and will essentially have to maintain, configure and administer the server infrastructure within the organisation.

Assisting the Service Desk as necessary as 3rd line support, no two days will be the same; you will be responsible for a small team of two and act as a mentor to the Service Desk, helping them to learn and develop in order to improve first time fix rates.

Essential skills and experience include but are not limited to:

* Previous experience in a similar Systems Engineer role
* Experience of managing a small team, creating PDPs or acting as a mentor to more junior staff.
* Experience of working in a highly regulated organisation like law or financial services
* Extensive experience of Windows OS, Active Directory, VMware, MS Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Networking and Telephony Infrastructure and more
* ITIL Certified
* Ideally you will be MCSE, MCSA, MCP Certified or equivalent
* Have the ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
