About the Graduate Teaching Assistant role
The role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant is varied, rewarding and challenging in equal measure. Your role will involve you working one to one, with small groups or with a whole class as you offer support to the class teacher you are assigned. It is possible that you will work across different year groups throughout your time at the school giving you exposure to a mixture of Key Stages and Year Groups. You will be working 1:1 with pupils and working with small groups of pupils to help them to make progress within Maths, Literacy and other core subject areas. You are likely to be working with pupils with SEN requirements so previous experience working with children who have ADHD, ASD or SEBD would be beneficial.
