An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Engineer to join a large moulding manufacturing company based in the Corby area

The Role –

You will be responsible for all aspects of materials within the business, this will include coordination of batch testing and support for external sites.

Accountable for representing the technical department in internal and external material related investigations.

Coordinate all aspects of batch testing, including liaising with suppliers, production, quality and external test houses.

Train, validate production staff to ensure they are competent to undertake routine in process testing using relevant equipment.

Co ordinate all aspects of manufacture of materials using external material customers

Maintaining all documentation required for customer batch acceptance.

Specify raw materials and processes ensuring consistency in materials.

Improvement and development projects support customer specific requirements.

Take accountability for the laboratories and equipment in terms of house keeping, calibration and general up keep.

The candidate

The suitable candidate will be required to have gained a minimum of 3 years experience in a materials testing or a lab role.

Your working experience can be gained from any aerospace, power generation , medical or automotive sector others will be considered.

Must be able to demonstrate hands on experience.

Ability to work unsupported and unaided.

It would be advantages if you have completed a Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Materials engineering.

Experience of dealing with supplier and customers.
