My client who are a supplier to the Oil and Gas industry currently require a workshop fitter to join their expanding team.

Duties are as follow
 Adhere to required Company Safety Training policies and guidelines
 Assembly, maintenance and modification of valves.
 Assembly and test of manual and actuated (Hydraulic/Pneumatic) valve packages to industry specifications, customer requirements and project deadlines
 Required to interpret and follow the instructions shown on engineering instructions, drawings and instrument diagrams.
 Prepare and maintain the documentation to support the functionality, testing and standards required to complete the work.
 Use of manual machinery (Lathes, drills etc.) for basic engineering tasks.
 Maintain a neat and organized work area.
 Additional duties and occasional work on other UK sites or customer job sites may be necessary.

Educational and Experience Requirements

 Mechanical engineering qualification
 3 years’ experience in mechanical environement
 The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of sound engineering practices and be experience in working to close tolerances & be conversant with a variety of measuring equipment
 Experience of SAP system preferred but not essential.
 Ability to operate and become certified on forklifts, order pickers, cranes, and other typical warehouse material handling equipment.
 Good communication skills
 Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
