Area Sales Manager – Commercial Vehicle Electrical Products

We require a focussed Area Sales Manager to promote an innovative product range within the Automotive / Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket. The ideal candidate will have Automotive Aftermarket experience in a Field Sales Representative or Territory Sales Representative role.

(Circa £35-40k) basic (30-35k) + performance bonus + vehicle + benefits

Ideally: West Midlands or East Midlands. Birmingham, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Wolverhampton, Telford, Walsall, Worcester, Redditch, Coventry, Bromsgrove, Northampton.

Sales Area: - Wales- Midlands- East Anglia.

Our client is an independent forward thinking Automotive Aftermarket company, who have an exciting product portfolio with huge potential to grow existing and new business. They have a well-developed range and have the ability to design and launch new lines through their manufacturing facilities.

What’s the job in simple terms?

Your job is quite simply managing sales within your designated territory and building relationships with key parts distributors, vehicle builders, buying groups and their members. Good experience of developing sales within the Automotive Aftermarket is essential. You will drive promotions, co-ordinate trade shows, workouts and engage the distributor teams to get on board and increase sales.

So what skills do you require?

We are looking for a smart well-presented individual, with a passion for selling and promoting products. You need good planning and presentation skills, be well organised to give the area thorough coverage with a structured call and journey cycle. You will travel extensively throughout the region to meet distributors and their customers to develop the brand, there will be a requirement for two to three nights away per month. This role will require excellent people skills as relationship building is key. Good PC skills and the ability to create reports and presentations is key.
