Rapid growth has created the requirement for a Bookkeeper to join our modern and lively office in the heart of Media City UK.

Role and responsibilities:

• The successful applicant will need to have a good knowledge of Sage 50.

• A sound knowledge of PAYE rules and RTI (including BIK, SSP & SMP), together with experience of AE is required.

• The responsibilities of the post will also include accounts preparation to trial balance, reconciliation of control accounts, preparation of VAT returns and the timely production of monthly management accounts.

• The successful candidate will also be confident with Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word & Outlook.

• This is a varied position in a small, busy, independent Practice and therefore the need for flexibility is paramount.

• The successful candidate will be motivated, have good interpersonal skills and excellent IT skills including a good knowledge of computerised bookkeeping packages (ideally Sage, Quickbooks and/or Xero) and Excel. The candidate will be organised, able to work to tight deadlines as part of the team or on their own initiative and have a desire to work within the accountancy profession for an expanding and progressive company.
