Web Application Developer - Python / Django - Perm - Edinburgh - To 34k GBP

Abrecco are recruiting a Web Application Developer on behalf of our Edinburgh City centre based client to work on their innovative software products developed in Python. You will have good experience across the full development lifecycle coupled with good communication and team working abilities as you will be working as part of a cross functional team who are developing user friendly scalable web based applications for well known organisations across various platforms including mobile.

Role responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Web based solutions using Python and Django ensuring quality, scalability and performance
- Participate in reviews of requirements, specifications and designs to determine best-fit solutions
- You will test delivered work to ensure high quality across different devices and browsers
- Provide implementation and post implementation support as required
- Work with minimal supervision to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously

Personal and technical attributes:
- Commercial experience developing transactional web-based applications
- Python and Django development skills or and alternatively OO language with a willingness to learn.
- Experience with JSON, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, JQuery
- MySQL or similar database experience
- Linux and Apache (ideally Red Hat) would be highly desirable
- Experience of working in an Agile Environment
- Moodle or a similar virtual learning environment would also be an advantage
