Our successful Uniformed Public Services department are looking to recruit a new member of staff to join their team, presenting an exciting new opportunity for the right candidate to bring their own Uniformed Public Services specialisms, enhancing the provisions currently offered by this department. We are seeking an inspirational, versatile, enthusiastic and experienced lecturer to join a successful Uniformed Public Services team. The successful candidate will teach a range of levels across the BTEC Uniformed Public Services course, delivering units such as Government Policies; Citizenship, Equality and Diversity; Leadership; Employment & Careers and Volunteering.

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of the high quality and effective teaching to students at the college, as well as acting as a personal tutor to some students. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of educational programmes, identifying learning objectives, producing and determining study material and planning the delivery of the programme with other members of staff. Another key role of this position will be to provide academic and pastoral support to students and ensure the maintenance of a high quality learning experience for all students. additional to this the candidate will be required to work with other departments such as the Learning Resource Centres to ensure that all appropriate support and guidance is given to students allowing them to reach their full potential. It is desirable for the candidate to have additional experience in the delivery of practical activities such as fitness or adventurous activities along with the relevant NGB awards in order to fulfil this role.
