My Client is a specialist bespoke company within the Fire & Security industry, specialising in fire alarms and other associated electronic life safety systems. Due to expansion of a new division, my client is looking to bring on board an experienced commissioning engineer to work alongside the project manager.

It is intended that this role will ultimately lead onto a project engineering position; potential candidates should be both willing to learn and ambition to develop a long term career.

The Role:

- At specific stages of a project, pre-commissioning data needs to be collected to ensure that the installation has been carried out correctly
- Final commissioning of the system will involve testing through everything that’s been installed and loading systems software to test that the cause and effect required by the client operates as planned
- Regular liaison with the project manager is vital to ensure that he is fully aware of the current position of projects ahead of/during commissioning and is something that you will be responsible for.

- Reports need to be prepared on a weekly basis that outline our project progress against program and identify anything that is likely to de-rail us from delivering this project on time, on budget and to the customer’s total satisfaction.

This position is based from home and predominantly out on site – covering London and South East

Experience / Skills Required:

- Expertise with electronic life safety systems including fire detection and alarms, communications systems and PAVA.
- A good understanding of the application of BS5839 (all parts)
- A good understanding of the principles of fire protected installations
- Good communication skills

- A strong work ethnic, honest and reliable

In Return:

In return my client is paying a healthy basic salary of up to £30,000 + Vehicle, phone & Medical cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company and be a member of a dynamic team. Should you have the required experience and skills for the role I would like to hear from you on – Katie Hayhurst
