My client based in Sheffield are looking for an experienced Production Manager. The role is full time permanent working Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.

Job Title: Production Manager

Responsible To: General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Direct control of all factory staff to ensure they are motivated, trained, developed and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards and in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
2 Oversee the production process (primarily painting and special coatings), drawing up a production schedule to ensure that all products are processed on time and are to the correct quality standard
3 Ensure that staff work in line with company safety policies and standards. Ensure all staff members have received suitable training for the role they have been employed for
4 Ensure all required safety checks are carried out according to laid down schedules
5 Ensure that the production resources including equipment and machinery are used effectively and that maintenance is carried out according to manufacturer's instructions
6 Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency
7 Monitor the competencies of staff and provide leadership and development as required to meet objectives
8 Maintain staff discipline and where appropriate implement company disciplinary procedure for staff who fail to meet the standard required
9 Supervise all work areas to ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained and that materials are stored correctly
10 Assist the Managing Director as required on major contract reviews. Also liaising with clients on technical and contractual matters
11 Quality Control:

* Ensure the QMS based on ISO9001 is adhered to and marking requirements are achieved
* Liaise with external inspectors in ensuring that specifications are in accordance with their requirements
