Person Specification for Geography Teaching Assistant role.
Our school are ideally looking for a 2:2 of above Geography Graduate to take on this very fulfilling Geography Teaching Assistant role. If you have genuine aspirations of starting your teacher training, this is one of the best ways to start and get use to the varying classroom scenarios you would encounter on you training. This role would suit a passionate Humanities graduate who has the drive to a genuine love for teaching and learning. You will have the ability to enthuse pupils to learn by your passion for education and ability to empathise.
About the Role
This Geography Teaching Assistant position involves working primarily as part of the established Humanities faculty. This role will see you leading small group sessions and mentoring students 1:1 to provide tutoring on the most demanding areas of the curriculum. Parents of SEN pupils fully support the school and you will continue to provide dedicated guidance to these students. The role is 5 days a week, 8:30 to 4pm and there will be the opportunity to lead extra curricular activities.
