A charity that has won awards for how well it treats its staff, are looking for someone to coach and mentor job seekers that have gone self-employed to ensure they sustain their businesses.  If work life balance is important to you, this could be a nice career move, with the charity providing 28 days leave plus bank hols - so they look after their people.

A few months ago, they were awarded a large contract across London to help job seekers move into self employment (or partially, via Universal Credit). Due to demand of the contract, a brand new role has been created to provide support to a caseload of customers that have recently decided to work self employed.  You will work closely with the start up / growth advisers, who initially help job seekers move towards self employment through helping them with business plans, access funding, develop a marketing strategy (all the things a start up business needs). With all small businesses, the critical part is being able to sustain this, which is where you come in, and you will be responsible for ensuring they embed and sustain their business ideas.

You will maintain relationships with the local job centres, where most of the referrals come from.  And will be responsible for maintaining contact on a regular basis with customers to track their progress and provide business advice and guidance either face to face, or over the phone.  Furthermore, you will also be responsible for coordinating specialist mentor support for your caseload as required. The big picture goal is to ensure your customers reach 52 weeks of sustainment.

To apply for this role, you must have previously delivered advice to businesses or individuals looking to go self-employed.  You will have a business head about you.  Please apply via this advert.  If you would like to discuss the role further, or if you have applied and not heard back, please contact James Chessum either by phone, or emailing the Hello email address (contact details on the Red 5 Solutions website).
