About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will assist the Finance Department to deliver an accurate, timely and reliable financial service to internal and external suppliers and customers.
You will be responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely financial records are maintained at all times, in relation to your job description.
As well as being motivated, committed and personable, the post holder should have:
Highly computer literate
Good working knowledge of general office software, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
Educated to at least A Level standard
Good working knowledge of finance systems
Methodical approach and good attention to detail

Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk
To assist the Finance Department to deliver an accurate, timely and reliable financial service to internal and external suppliers and customers.
Carrying out tasks, as requested by the Head of Finance, in relation to the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records such as (but not limited to):
Purchase ledger, including processing suppliers’ invoices and assisting with the payment process, monthly reconciliations, filing of invoices;
Sales ledger, including preparing and sending out invoices, inputting receipts onto the system, filing of invoices and receipts;
Other general duties, as required.
Providing administrative and clerical support to the Finance Department including general filing, photocopying and other administrative functions.
Carry out such tasks as requested by the Finance manager and/or the Director of Corporate Services in relation to the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records.
Be self-supporting in relation to administrative processes such as preparation and typing of correspondence, general filing and photocopying.
Ensure adherence to cash procedures including those relating to invoicing, banking and cashing up.
In relation to the work undertaken ensure the timely provision, quality and integrity of all financial information.
To carry out any other duties which may reasonably be required within the Finance Department as requested by the Finance Manager
To act in accordance with the aims of Evolve Housing + Support.

BookkeeperExperience & qualifications
- Educated to at least A level standard
- Minimum Grade B in English and Mathematics at GCSE
- Highly computer literate
- Good working knowledge of general office software, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
- High level of numeracy
- Ability to work to own initiative without supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Conscientious and diligent in carrying out tasks
