The main purpose of a Support Worker is to provide a holistic housing related support service, for customers and their families who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Adopting a preventative approach where the root causes of homelessness are proactively addressed at the earliest possible stage; empowering customers to sustain long term achievements.

For the position of a Support Worker, the following requirements are additional and expected for staff members to perform:

• Excellent standard of written and verbal communication
• Clear understanding of person centred approaches
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Actively supports fundraising initiatives
• High Quality of customer record maintenance
• Clearly commits to customer engagement
• Basic ICT skills

The ideal candidate will provide and search out advocacy for customers, you be someone who is sensitive, proactive, works well with their customers and with their team. Providing a flexible service operating in a person centred manner at the time when customers need the service.
