A leading drug and alcohol charity are looking to recruit a permanent substance misuse nurse.

Salary: £26,400 - £32,150 per annum plus Inner London Weighting £3,500.00 per annum
Base: Westminster, SW1 9HP
Hours: 37.5

Your new company
You will be working in a leading a dynamic Recovery partnership in Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster providing a new Integrated Treatment & Recovery Service with an underpinning ethos to build on the success of previous Drug & Alcohol services to create more opportunities for service users to begin and continue their recovery journey and add to this growing asset based resource and support system.

Your new role
As directed by the Lead Nurse, the post-holder will be an integral member of a multi disciplinary and multi-agency team offering:

  • Support to specialist prescribing and alcohol services;
  • Health and Wellbeing assessment;
  • Vaccination programme;
  • Naloxone programme as part of harm reduction;
  • Responsive titration as part of initiation to a prescription;
  • A range of clinical interventions to service users entering into the substance misuse treatment system, either through Open Access or the criminal justice system.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have excellent engagement skills, be committed to high quality service provision and the active involvement of service users. You will have some training of relevance and or qualifications, and experience when it comes to addressing substance misuse issues within a busy and dynamic integrated drug and alcohol service You will be required to work flexibly as required and work openly to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.
