The Opportunity:

Currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a really established construction team with an in depth experience in residential development.

You will have the ability to demonstrate the following attributes:

* A proven track record in the successful delivery of new build residential schemes and be able to demonstrate this.
* An understanding of the many risks associated with the development industry.
* Experience of running your own schemes or working on larger projects as part of a team working alongside a Project Manager.
* Attention to detail and a passion for delivering and exceeding customer expectations.
* Understanding of project design, be able to interrogate drawings and offer solutions to design discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage designated projects to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence.
* Maintain a good level of understanding of construction techniques, problems and solutions, and work closely together with internal Design/Technical teams and external Consultants, Engineers & Designers to review and develop appropriate techniques and cost effective solutions.
* Assist in the provision of a safe, efficient and cost effective service stream on all areas of service delivery ensuring the highest quality of work is provided in the timescales determined by the contract.
* Review method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company and client procedures as well as discharge Health and Safety responsibilities in accordance with Safety, Health and Environment Management System requirements
* Quality management ensuring specification meets client requirements/specification and all legislation is adhered to.
* Instigate, control and run projects from contract award to handover within budgetary constraints.
* Maintain accurate site diaries for all activities and highlight any risk items.
* Control and monitor day works for subcontractors
* Management of the production programme through on-going analysis to mitigate risk & creation of short-term programmes to recover time where required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Holds the relevant CITB and First Aid qualifications (NVQ level 3 or above is desirable).
* Circa 3 years+ experience in a similar role either with a developer or main contractor.
* Good level of IT literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft office and programming software packages.
