Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Birmingham/ Northampton / Coalville / Oxfordshire base covering South and Central Midlands

A specialist infrastructure, groundworks and civil engineering contracting company are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join a vibrant team of industry professionals to work on a variety of housing groundworks projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join a large contracting company with an excellent reputation and commitment to health and safety. The company continues to grow year on year and hence this position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work on exciting developments, great job security, realistic progression and a competitive package. Your role will be split between office and site locations and it will be your responsibility to ensure standards and procedures are being maintained and liaise with clients and internal staff.

The Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor will be required to do the following:

* Promote a positive H&S Culture within the Company
* Assist with policy formation when required
* Produce RAMS
* Planned site visits and audits including reporting and follow up actions
* Identify training needs and deliver on site training including toolbox talks
* Investigate accidents and incidents
* Ensure company compliance with CDM regulations and other relevant statutes

The Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor is required to have the following:

* Degree in Health and Safety and/ or have the necessary health and safety qualifications, IOSH/ NEBOSH or other relevant qualification (desirable)
* Worked as a Health and Safety manager/ advisor on civils projects and/ or have a civils background
* Ability to work independently as well as contributing to team and companywide strategy
* Efficient audit monitoring skills and excellent written and verbal communication
* Very IT literate
* Promote a positive working together culture
* 3 years HSE experience
* 3 years construction/groundwork experience
