We are working with a client who has been manufacturing components for commercial vehicle for over 60 years and they now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrically biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site based in the Bolton.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for taking complete ownership of the Mechanical performance of the shop floor from a maintenance perspective.

The Engineering Technician will provide an effective proactive maintenance service utilising PM & PdM techniques in conjunction with the CMMS to enable efficiency and cost targets to be exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

Set standards for delivering departmental/factory requirements.

- Looking after various machinery including CNC's and Cranes
- Achieve KPI targets.
- Deliver mechanical service excellence.
- Identify strategy for maintenance and improvement of production equipment.
- Identify and resolve health and safety issues relating to maintenance.
- Utilise the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to generate reports to support CI (Continuous Improvements)
- Reduce production equipment variables.
- Collate equipment history and performance information.
- Carry out machine condition appraisals.
- Carry out root cause analysis with production teams.
- Define key process parameters and ranges to optimise OEE.
- Support the rollout of best practice maintenance management.
- Maximise usage of modern Planned Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance techniques.

Formal Educational Requirements:

- Formal Apprenticeship trained.
- Ideally 70/30 Electrical/Mechanical
- HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 yrs experience post apprenticeship
- Any experience with Siemens / Mitsubishi PLC Programming Software essential

Package on Offer:

£30-£33k DOE

37 hours of work (6-2 / 2-10 / days) Hours confirmed at interview stage.
