Mechanical/Electrical Engineer - Installation & Maintenance

OVERVIEW:

Permanent opportunity available due to expansion and business growth for a leading Mechanical/Electronic Engineering firm, for a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer. You will need a solid Electrical understanding together with Mechanical. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining a range of mechanical and electrical equipment on commercial property, ranging from Access Controls, Parking Barriers, and Electronic Security Gates/Fences. This role is a long-term career move with opportunities of further training and development investment for the successful candidate.

THE ROLE OF A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

To work as part of a successful team across the Midlands, servicing existing clients and ensuring all jobs are recorded and completed on time and to the client's specification. This role will require frequent travel to multiple sites across the UK, and a fully expensed company vehicle is provided, along with overtime pay.

Duties;

* Act as the face of the company - respond to customer enquiries/issues and recommend effective solutions
* Install and maintain mechanical and electronic equipment including: Parking Systems, Access Controls, Security Gates/Fencing, Barriers, Road Blockers
* Organise maintenance visits with clients/suppliers, testing equipment for "fit for purpose" and replace equipment when required
* Carry out any additional task as and when the business requires

KEY SKILLS:

The successful candidate will be a time served Mechanical Engineer and will have completed an apprenticeship or hold a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised Mechanical engineering qualification. You will be able to demonstrate Health and Safety diligence together with extensive fault finding electrical knowledge.

Skills;

- Problem-Solving, ambitious, team player, proactivity.

- Heavy industry engineering experience (ideally in Parking Systems/Access Controls etc).

- Training provided.

- Mechanical and electrical capabilities is essential.
