Want to part of a dynamic and close knit team? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to be the Technical lead within the section develop new products and work on exciting projects. The salary would depend on experience/skills however the band is circa £30'000 to £32'000 per annum plus a great range of benefits including flexible working hours, gym equipment on site, contributory pension scheme, shopping discounts, and opportunities to progress and expand your skill set, plus an interesting and varied product range.

* Actively lead CI and project teams to achieve objectives within timescale and cost.
* Focus on operating techniques to achieve and improve on current performance targets.
* Ensure that production operatives continually follow best practice.
* Collect and analyse appropriate process, equipment and other data to identify and justify areas for improvement. To be actively involved in continuous improvement.
* Involvement in customer complaints to ensure the root cause is identified and necessary preventative actions are implemented effectively.
* Actively liaise with customers own engineering teams to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
* Work with production personnel to, develop and implement standard manufacturing methods and the correct use of equipment.
* Work closely with manufacturing to devise and implement best practice for existing and new products.
* Develop and support new product introduction.
* Understand and monitor standard costs and look to reduce where applicable.
* Actively support and participate with the introduction of new materials, products, processes and equipment.
* Interpreting customer drawings, designing tooling, procuring tooling and developing relevant processes and systems to final product release.

What can you bring to the team?

* Ideally Degree educated in a relevant subject. HNC minimum requirement.
* An engineering background coupled with experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Previous knowledge and experience of company manufacturing systems and processes would be required.
* A methodical, analytical and conscientious approach to work is essential and experience of working in cross functional teams and effective use of problem-solving techniques is required.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office tools is essential. Experience with MRP systems would be useful.
* Knowledge of CAD systems advantageous
* Experience of Lean manufacturing and modern quality techniques required.
* Experience with Polymers, Polymer sintering or manufacturing conversion systems advantageous
