The Senior Contract Engineer role is an instrumental role within our business and drives its success, The role is initially the main point of contact for our clients.

The role is varied role and covers a range of duties that call for the successful individual to possess a range of Engineering and Commercial experience within a project setting.

This includes managing a project through to completion. the ideal candidate will be familiar with the complete cycle of an industrial electrical installation project. i.e. Submission of quotations / Negotiating prices / Costings / Day to day management of the Project / Invoicing / Final Acceptance / Client Liaison.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Be educated to HNC standard or equivalent level
• An electrical engineering background, (candidates with similar, relevant experience will also be considered)
• Experienced within the Electrical Contract / Electrical Installation / Food Industry
• A proven understanding of Managing Contracts and developing new opportunities on site
• A Professional with a Positive Can do Attitude
• Ability to work to flexible deadlines, Including working unsocial hours
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Organisational skills including: Planning / Time Management / Project Management

The Senior Contract Engineer will be expected to attend client sites and work closely with the customer to identify and influence further opportunities and projects within the site and submit tender applications.

Whilst managing a project you will be responsible for:

• The successful delivery of the project from start through to completion
• Management of Internal Workers as well as Sub Contractors
• Provision of Technical Support and advice
• Liaise with the HSQE team for all matters including Continuous Improvements
• Manage the Procurement and Purchases for the project
• Ensure the Quarterly Account Closing of the Project and Forecast Estimates are carried out.
• Review Supplier Performance
• Develop Key Customer Relationships
• Ensure all services and installations are compliant and certified to the required standards
