Role overview:

As Content Editor, you will be responsible for producing high quality, product-related digital and print copy for the Running category. In this key role, you will write copy to specific length for all web and print tasks, ensuring you convey the context taking into account tone, grammar, syntax, flow and cohesion, whilst meeting tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a working knowledge of sporting goods and e-commerce best practice, as well as a meticulous eye for detail.

What we need you to do:

- Conduct own research in order to better understand products, brands, subjects, etc

- Ensure all work is completed to deadline for pre-planned and disruptive product launches

- Proofread own and others’ written content to ensure the highest standards

- Liaise with design department for the purpose of creative copy for campaigns

- Keep abreast of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) analytics and trends

- Collaborate with other departments, including Brand, Business Unit & Social Media

Your skills:

- Advanced command of the English language, grammar and punctuation

- Previous employment in a copywriting position or similar role

- Experience of proofing text in a fast-paced, commercial environment

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy

- Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines

- Ability to change writing style and tone

- Ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team
