The Job

We are currently working with a small IFA partner based in not far from Witchampton / Manswood in Dorset who form part of a prestigious FTSE 100 company within financial services providing a personal, bespoke wealth management service. Due to company growth our client is looking for a strong administrator to join the team, providing dedicated support to the Owner, with day to day running of the office including client letters and reports, regulatory requirements, marketing, client servicing and IT whilst supporting looking at ways to improve the office and service delivery. The most important thing is, being very organised, reliable and trustworthy (as you will be dealing with confidential client information and the Home Office), to make the role your own.

This role could suit a graduate (but not essential) in business, finance, economics or mathematics to name a few but not limited too, as you will naturally develop, depending on your outlook and career mind. Our client is open minded and will encourage you, whichever way you intend, tailoring to suit, joining as a:

-Trainee Paraplanner, utilizing your experience/knowledge to date
-Enhance your current Paraplanning experience becoming more of an Office Manager
-Para-planner, as you have your Certificate in Paraplanning already and now you’re looking for a new challenge
-Financial Services Administrator as you’ve recently obtained, your Diploma in Financial Planning or CFP certification

Progression routes and professional qualifications with bonus on completion (if relevant), and a further bonus structure after a qualifying period are on offer.

We are keen to hear from you, as we are looking for the following abilities/qualities:

Essential:

•An interest and understanding in financial services (either wealth management or IFA exposure)
•Adaptability in a controlled manner
•Good at building professional relationships, as you’ll need to gain client trust
•A ‘can-do’ and positive approach, strong work ethic, willing to learn, likes working to goals and seeing things through to completion
•Analytical with precise attention to detail
•Ability to accurately transpose information
•Comfortable with templated Suitability Letters
•The ability to balance conflicting demands in a calm and friendly manner
•Able to maintain a positive ‘can do’ attitude and able to work autonomously
•Ability to think outside the box to support the Partner, open to new ideas
•Comfortable with face to face & telephone client interaction
•Broad experience of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
•Comfortable with electronic data systems and Apple Mac computers
•Experience in setting up and maintaining systems, processes and procedures
•Effective Project management/ability to manage several tasks

Desirable:

•The ideal applicant should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the finance industry
•The ideal candidate would have prior Para-Planning experience
•Up to date knowledge of regulation and legislation

Job Responsibilities: (training will be provided if you are more junior)
•Support the Partner to ensure the end to end business process is adhered to and tracked efficiently in line with Partner and regulatory standards and timescales.
•Oversee and manage the submission of all client applications/advice sets in support of the Partner
•Preparing financial comparisons and recommendations for client
•Construct compliant and robust suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
•Support the Partner to ensure all relevant information required for writing the client report is available
•Maintain accurate and up to date client information
•To support the Partner in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with business assurance/management
•Liaise with Head Office & admin centres as directed.

Other duties include:
-Gather relevant information, analysis and research
-Practice Development, Management and Coordination
-Marketing

What the job will provide:
•Full time position, Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday covering 35 hours
