The Client

Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Business Development Executive. Our client is one of the largest training and coaching organisations in Wales and England.

The Role

This office based role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to drive and expand their client relationships in the South West.

You will need to be an experienced, driven and motivated sales person, with good attention to detail and a tenacious approach.

Within your role, you will be working within different commercial markets, networking and relationship building to increase client awareness and generate new business.

You will be prospecting, pitching, educating clients, overcoming objections, meeting expectations and closing business.

You will primarily be working on the Government's flag ship training program; Apprenticeships.

Your primary target will be to identify Clients who have eligible current employees and also suitable Apprentice Vacancies. You will also be selling the companies portfolio of commercially funded training courses.

Key Responsibilities:

·Deliver agreed KPIs by maximising all sales opportunities
·Achieve and exceed targets set by the Sales Manager
·Understand key product knowledge and concepts
·Provide accurate KPI information on a daily basis
·Maintain and develop the CRM database to maximise sales potential and opportunities
·Regularly liaise with the Sales Manager to ensure that the objectives, expectations and priorities of the team are met
·Frequently inform and present to the team on market activities and developments

The Candidate:

·Demonstrable track record of new business generation within B2B or B2C
·Preferably closed business with HR, Training, Managers or Proprietors
·Tenacity and Persistence
·Self learning and development skills
·Excellent interpersonal skills
·Highly motivated team player with the drive to sell, achieve and exceed set targets
·Able to remain focused under pressure and meet challenging goals and deadlines
·Open to feedback and keen to take ownership of action s and personal development
·Excellent IT skills
·Knowledge of CRM or Client Databases preferable
·Drive, determination and results focused
·Acts with credibility and integrity


-Paying a basic salary of £18,000 (Realistic OTE £26k first year).
-Monday - Friday working hours with a 3:30 pm finish on a Friday.
